Sega Genesis Model 3 buzzing

Hey guys, wanna apologize for this being my first post. Long time lurker who decided to join. I had a quick question. I just picked up a Sega Genesis Model 3, and it came with the original Sega AC adapter and RF cable. Everything works fine, but then I decided to order a cheap AV cable online. I got it today and when I plugged it in I received a loud buzzing sound from my television. It didn't do this with the RF adapter, but it does with the AV cable.

Could it be a problem with the Genesis or just the cable? Thanks.

most likely it is the cable.

Also, what type of cable did you order? Does it have all three colors? Yellow White and Red? Have you tried plugging in just one audio cable?

Just to see what it does?

Genesis 3 have mono sound I believe. So just plug in one audio cable.

EDIT - You were absolutely right, flojocabron! When I removed the red input the noise stopped completely, boy do I feel slow. Thank you very much! Appreciate it

Just be careful with its tinyness.

You can easily yank it around if your excited during a game
