Happy 16th Birthday, Dreamcast!

Sega's Swan song turns 16 today in North America. You gave us some real gems - heck, you're still giving (unofficially). Somewhere out there is a Dreamcast 2 proto with a shimmering, stardusting GD-ROM of Phantasy Star Online Ver. 3.

So, what are you guys playing?

Yay s1mple! Thanks for the thread. I will be toasting to Dreamcast's 16th by playing some Mars Matrix, some Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and definitely some Phantasy Star Online via Sylverant.

Playing MvC2 right now. Not sure I'll be able to play anything else though, since I still have homework that needs to be done.

The Dreamcast was simply amazing. I was attracted to it because of the many great arcade ports it received, and at the time, many were DC exclusives. Even now its library has lots of great games and many still only available here.

Is it really a birthday when the person's been dead for years?

I ended up playing until almost midnight. Lots of Soul Calibur, Virtua Tennis, and Typing of the Dead. I even queued up my old PSO and Code Veronica files. Finally, I ended up closing the nights festivities with about 20 minutes of Grandia II *sigh* I almost busted out my maracas for Samba De Amigo. Alas, my coffee edge had worn off by then, lol.

Good times! :D

I ended up going through the Ruins with my RAmar like old times. It was nice to hear the lobby music online. I plan on celebrating a little more this afternoon with some Grandia II.
