Drakengard 3 can suck it . The game itself isn't horrible, but that final level is crap. You don't randomly toss a hard as balls rhythm game into a hack & slash game as the final boss without getting some well deserved hate.

Lagoon is good. It's a computer action-RPG and thus plays differently from what you'd expect on a console. It's far more similar to the likes of Hydlide, Ys, and Xak than to Zelda, Mana, and Evermore. I'll admit some things got mucked up in the X68000 to SNES conversion, most notably the combat.

Final Fantasy XIII is my least favorite video game ever released, of any genre. But surely I've ranted about that one enough. To think, I bought a PS3 specifically to play it!

This should probably be a discussion about JRPG design aspects that make for bad JRPGs.

Not many come to mind but...

Tales of Xillia 2 is one I really didn't like because everything I liked about the first Xillia was taken out and replaced with mandatory boring side quests and dull characters.

Valhalla Knights (PSP) is another since I remember it being sooooo slow. Slow battles, very little exp given out, and the plot didn't seem too particularly interesting either.

Other than that, I didn't like the DS version of Final Fantasy IV, but most of the JRPGs I've played I've really enjoyed or at least were tolerable.

Might give it another try though

Not the worst rpg by any means, but it is an overrated game.
