Would this method for playing Saturn imports work?

Post by sega dude »

Let's say, hypothetically, I bought a Japanese Sega Saturn game. If I were to image the disc on my computer, then patch the resulting ISO with Saturn Region Patcher, would I then be able to play it on my Model 2 US Saturn via the swap trick? I am aware that the swap trick is bad for the CD motor, but I just want to know if this would work.

I have done this and it works without any issues. I have a video in my signature for swap tricking, that method puts the least amount of stress on your motor.
