So I've been using my Sega CD Model 2 flawlessly off and on all day. I played through all of Sonic CD this morning without any issue.
I went to play Sonic CD again this evening and had no issues as well. However, near the end of the game the whole thing just froze and stopped loading. After 20 minutes, I restarted the console. Now it won't read the disc at all. It also won't read any of my other legit games, but it will play music CDs just fine. I burned a back up(not something I support) to test, and it won't read that either.
Like I stated earlier, it's a model 2 CD connected to a Model 2 Genesis. Both are U.S. and all of the games are from the U.S. as well. I cannot seem to find someone with a similar issue through any google search, so my hands are tied here. I would love to get it up and running again as soon as possible because I simply cannot live without Night Trap in my life. So Any help is greatly appreciated
I also get this issue where when it says "Press the start button" the screen freezes for a few seconds like normal, but then goes back to the boot screen where it stays at "checking the disc" forever
