I was confused about the whole thing... I think it's just women reading into things too much, not like that never happened. I think there are plenty of girls out there who would like to play games, maybe not as many and for not as long of time as men. Everyone saw that. I don't think I would mind Morgan so much if the whole world didn't salivate over her. Basically, if she didn't have a gaming-related career, she wouldn't have had one as a model. I guess I should blame the boys and men that gave her that career, but I still think there must be more qualified women out there to co-host X-Play.

Does society generally rag on people who watch a movie or two every night (like my wife) or people who watch a lot of TV or people who play card games or people who "fill-in-any-other-so-called-wholesome-free-time-activity"?

In my mind, gaming is more interactive and more cereberal than most mostly passive entertainments.

I've wondered the same thing... but to trivialize it, it all depends on who you talk to.

There are people who believe that. Just not the majority. Just like there are people who think watching a lot of TV or films is bad, or playing online poker is bad, or anything in excess is bad. Then the opinion of what is excess is then trivialized further.

Why care? If you are with someone who doesn't understand your desire to play videogames, and can't accept that it is just as trivial as their desire to do what ever the HELL they do. Then why the hell are you with that person? Isn't it all about give and take?


For the rest of the people who have nothing to do with your life... they can bugger off for all I care. If they can't stop me from being a transvestite, they certainly aren't going to keep me from my Sega Saturn.
