Snes game genie help

I have a snes game genie that will not work with any codes I input. The GG works fine and the games load but no codes work. It is a model 1 and my sns is 001. I read somewhere about a bank check by putting in all zeroes in the game genie and resetting and it should stay that way but when I do it's all blank and the bottom row is 0A00-000D. Does this mean its fried? I tried cleaning everything, turning on the codes after the game loads but nothing helps. Any fixes for this?

Are you sure the codes you're using are good? There's been random Game Genie codes that I've come across on the net that didn't seem to do anything at all.

If you have Super Mario World, try this code out: DD32-6DAD. This code will make Mario invincible. Mario will be sparkly, just like when you collect an invincibility star, so you'll know instantly if it's working. And IIRC, it even makes Mario invincible in the opening sequence, which sort of break it.

Not all GG codes are guaranteed to work. I tried some on Zombies Ate My Neighbors that froze my game, and even some on Firepower 2000 that prevented the game from loading. Keep trying some until they work.

The code I posted above for SMW was taken straight from my GG code book, it will definitely work. But yeah, I've come across plenty of codes on the net that didn't work.
