Let's Collect All The DC DLC (Now With A Dedicated Website!)

I've found some good lists online, but none of them seemed to have everything.

So let's put our heads together and try to make the definitive list!

I'm hoping to keep this to just DLC downloads if possible. For example, the DLC for Samba De Amigo still exists and can be downloaded on a track-by-track basis. There are also save files present with everything unlocked, all DLC and a populated high score list. Let's avoid the latter when we can.

To use these files, you can download them to your PC and transfer them via
-Broadband Adapter
-Coders/Serial Cable
-DreamExplorer Disc

Although the preferred method is definitely going to be downloading them directly on this site with your Dreamcast browser!

All files listed as unverified are files that have not been tested on a Dreamcast yet. If you use one of these files, let us know if it worked or not! Also, for any file listed as ??? Blocks please let us know how many blocks it takes up on a memory card!

Files listed as USA are intended to be used with USA versions of their respective games. They may work with PAL or JP versions too! Let us know if they do!

Also, this list shouldn't be limited to USA games! Have some DLC for a Japanese game? Post it!

4x4 Evolution - Download tracks. Are these user created or official?
Jet Set Radio - Downloadable graffiti. Seems like this just turned a JPEG of your choice into graffiti?
Sakura Taisen 3 - Downloadable "events"?
Sega GT - Ghost car data? Was this user uploaded or official?
Sega Marine Fishing - No idea what this could be.
Shenmue - VMU Icons? Sega Classic Games?

Hey Spoony,

Here's the few that I know still exist for Phantasy Star Online v.2

Central Dome Fire Swirl - 51 Blocks (27+24 Blocks)
Lionel's Letter - 57 Blocks (10+47=57 Blocks)
Soul of a Blacksmith - 72 Blocks (8+64=72 Blocks)
Soul of Steel - 96 Blocks (62+34=96 Blocks)
The Retired Hunter - 36 Blocks (10+26=36 Blocks)

Both are available to download via Scthack and Sylverant. All safe. You will need multiple VMU's and ALL of the files come in two parts, like they're detailed above. Mathematically, you'd need two VMU's, if all you had on them were PSO files. The second memory card could fit most of them, if all you had was one VMU with a character and guild card, and the other empty.

Also, there are some quests that were ported over to the servers, but weren't officially live when the official Sega servers were up.

Wow! This is really awesome!

This'll definitely be good, for people who want to try out the original Dreamcast DLC; whether they browse Racketboy's forums or not. I actually really wanted to try the Sonic Adventure DLC back when it was a thing, so this has me excited.

But, just out of question, how would someone download these onto a VMU? Is there a specific piece of software/hardware that lets you do this?

There are a couple different options for getting these onto VMU depending on what you have at your disposal.

The easiest way is if you have a Dreamcast that can still connect to the internet. If that is the case, you should be able to navigate to these forums and just click on the download links. That should download the files straight to your VMU.

If you don't have an online Dreamcast, but you have a Broadband Adapter or a Serial Cable, you can get software to dump it from there. I haven't been able to drop files onto a VMU with this method (over serial). But it's supposed to be possible.

There is likely a method with the Dreamcast SD Card adapter, but I am unfamiliar with how these work.

The final way is if you have a Dreamcast capable of playing burned CD's. You can download a copy of DreamExplorer and burn it to a disc. This program allows you to copy files from the disc to a VMU (and also do some other neat things with VMU's!).

There are plenty of useful saves and information on the disc, but if the piece of DLC you're looking for isn't on that disc, you can download it from here and burn it onto another disc. You can then load DreamExplorer, and put your disc with the VMI saves into the drive and download them from that.

I'm excited to say that the Street Fighter Alpha 3 DLC works!

It's essentially 27 different challenge mode files!

That said, the download links from archive:vacant.org currently don't work in the Dreamcast browser (it really doesn't like web.archive.org). The Psilocybin Dreams ones do, however. That's fine for now, but that means you can't get to all of them!

I am looking into hosting these files myself to ensure they stay online and the links are accessible from the Dreamcast browser.

I found some more of the Monthly DLC for Floigan Bros. At the moment I can only get the March DLC to work (and also the January that was already on this list) but I can not find a download link for it. I may have found up to three more months of DLC!

Does anyone have any experience with the DLC in this game? I can't seem to make more than one monthly item work at a time.

Found all of these Phantasy Star Online missions over the weekend. Not sure if some of these overlap with the ones available on the servers? Or they could just be mislabeled. I'll have to give them a try.

To anyone who played PSO back in the day: With the Download Quests, did everyone in your party have to have the quest installed to their VMU play?

I'm figuring out how to describe this...

The VMU downloadable quests were meant for single player play only. A few of those that you have listed:

Famitsu Japan PSO Cup (v1) - JP
Famitsu Japan PSO Cup 2 (v2) - JP
Sunset By The Secret Base (v2) - JP
Brave Firefighter v2 - JP (Central Dome Fire Swirl in US)

These were all live on Japanese servers, but your language setting would have to be set to Japanese in order to download.

The cool thing was though -- if your party was all online and you wanted to play one of those quests, you went up to the Hunter's Guild Counter, selected the quest, and it would load to everyone's Dreamcasts' temporary memory. Then if you failed or completed the quest, you'd be kicked back out to the main lobbies.

So virtually, you'd only need the VMU if you intended to play those quests offline. Some of them were actually seasonal tournaments or competitions, depending on the calendar year. I used to get really excited when the Cups would go on, because there'd be a ton of parties forming, running around looking for rare monsters and drops.

There was a lot more integration as the game progressed, especially on Gamecube and Xbox: http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?o ... &artid=794

Check out some of those monsters and then what they could drop! All sorts of neat little fan service mag cells!
