Game suggestions please!

Post by kidnintendo »

I make a gaming video series (like every other person on the planet) and I need some suggestions for games to feature.

The show premise has two people playing a game, but one is blindfolded and the other has to guide them through the game. You can see an example by following the link in my sig.

Basically, I'm looking for games that are visually appealing with uncomplicated controls. So, mouse and keyboard games are out!

Thanks for your help everybody!

Enemy Zero springs to mind as a game that might actually be EASIER blindfolded.

Sounds like something that would be fun to do with a super close friend, but a terrible premise for a video series.

But I'll still throw you some bones.

Pac-Man: You'll be saying "up, down, left, and right"

Space Invaders: You'd be saying "Never stop shooting, left, and right"

Millipede or Centipede: ^

Grand Prix: "Up, down, up, down"

Pong: ^

Tetris and Columns: "Button, left, right"

Good luck.

Blindfolded Punch-Out is always a good time.

Battle Kid has some potential. Is it a one-hit-death situation?

Enemy Zero looks cool, but don't think it'll work for this premise. Too much preamble tends to deflate the talent. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Punchout! Yes! I've got that one lined up for filming this weekend. I'm actually going to try and covertly swap the rom with some horrendous nude boxer hack I found online.

Keep em' coming if you've got more!

If you want REAL torture, try either Contra for the NES, or Rayman for the PS1.

Both of those games are so hard, he'd probably cry trying to finish them blind.

Another suggestion would be a game that moves fast. Something like Rocket Knight Adventures for Genesis, or any of the 2D Sonic platformers.

Tetris, any Puyo Puyo game (like Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, or Kirby's Avalanche), or any Panel De-Pon game (Tetris Attack, Pokemon Puzzle League) will do nicely as well.
This user really likes SEGA Saturn. Avoid at all costs.

Run through an early RPG in which the non-blind folded person does dramatic interpretations of all on screen dialogue. Dragon Warrior might be a good candidate for this.

Hmm ... role playing and blindfolds. Waaaait a sec ...
