PSA: Metroid Prime Trilogy is only $9.99 for one week

Post by Flake »

Metroid Prime Trilogy is up on the WiiU Eshop for $9.99 for one week. So yeah, fake an illness and leave work/school early to do the responsible thing and get on that.

That breaks down to roughly $5.00 for Metroid Prime 1, $4.00 for Metroid Prime 3, and .99 for Metroid Prime 2. A bargain even if you were buying disc only copies of the original games.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Even though I have the steelcase, this is well worth having installed as well for $10 :)

Did anyone find out with SMG2 last week if the gamepad can be used by itself to play the game on the pad itself (no Wiimote)? Is the MP Trilogy going to offer this? Do disc-based games now offer this? I know that the motion controls are outstanding in the MP series, but I've been there/done that and would like to start playing Wii games on the pad without a separate controller from time to time...

Even if they didn't release any other Wii games like this, this would be the one to get.

I dunno man, that's still a lot to ask for that one.

With the mass reprint, complete disc copies are going for $20-35 on ebay. Original LE's with steelcase and artbook are only doing $45.

I can't imagine spending $10 when you can have the physical at those prices.

I think it was in October I picked up the reprint from Gamestop for $45.

On the plus side it was practically brand new with new case, manual, and disc was flawless.

There are games that I know I will play with such great frequency on an annual basis that having an affordable digital copy is worth the reduction in wear and tear on my console.

Man that's a double low blow!

I still think Metroid Prime 2 is the best of the three!

I'd buy a backup wii with the $10 in that case
