Ok, this game was an action rpg type (first person) in the Windows 95 era. Your character could shapeshift into a couple different animals, one I'm pretty sure was a lizard. Certain tasks could only be completed while in one form or another. It was set in the wilderness (jungle iirc) and had some cave exploring. That is about all I can remember.
Any guesses?
Trying to figure out the name of an old game, pretty vague

Are you possibly thinking of Lands of Lore 2?
Your character carries a curse where they randomly transform from human to lizard to giant and back again.

PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Trying to figure out the name of an old game, pretty vag
I was going to suggest this. I'm pretty confident it is this one as it had areas that you could only traverse in certain forms (like the underwater ones).

That's it! Thanks! For some reason I used to love this game, but completely forgot about it. I can't believe you came up with it from my horrible recollection.CFFJR wrote:Are you possibly thinking of Lands of Lore 2?

FWIW, Shadowcaster fit my description pretty great, so thanks for the suggestion fellas.

No problem jp, happy to help. It was the lizard bit that made the difference. It stands out to me.jp1 wrote:

I'm glad it turned out to be the one you were looking for.

I never played Lands of Lore 2, but I remember LOVING the first one. I may have to check it out now.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

It has some bad reviews on GOG, but I remember really enjoying it. I'm going to pick up the trilogy since they are so cheap. I was happy to see it was easily available, thought I might be looking for some obscure title.KalessinDB wrote:I never played Lands of Lore 2, but I remember LOVING the first one. Man, FMV gets no respect. I thought Lands of Lore 2 was cool.
