New to racketboy. Was informed of the site by a fellow GTZ user who saw my post about this particular topic. Just recently got done building a new shelf, obtaining some new box protectors and finishing my amiibo collection. Took a few quick pictures and wanted to share. Unfortunately all my real world friends have no appreciation of the time and work I've put into this.
A large portion of this is my own from growing up. My goal in my adult life has been to slowly but surely, recreate my gaming life throughout the years. I'm not trying to be a collector that obtains every single NES, SNES, etc. game. I'm simply trying to showcase all the games I've personally played/beaten/loved. I think I'm in a good spot, but I know I'll never be done in regards to obtaining all the older games in mint/complete form.
I realize I can't even come close to competing with most, but I'm proud of what I've done. There's some gems among the masses; however I simply don't have the room to showcase specifics in my current constraints as It's an office! There's no way to see in the pictures where some of the better ones reside, but that's not really my goal. I'm not trying to show off by any means, but just share my passion with fellow enthusiasts.
Next house I plan on fully building out a basement with many a shelves to showcase specifics. My next goal is to further consolidate and build a Zelda shelf once I get http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=48165%20these%20last%20few%20items.
Anyway, enjoy!
The doorway into where I spend far too much time
The new shelf above the desk that hosts some of the game boxes. Have quite a few larger ones that hide in the basement and elsewhere.
Working from home more often than not can be fun, but I swear I'm at this damn desk far too often.
Fun kickstarter project!
Love the coasters from riptapparel!
Two of my all time favorites! The NES controller is a 64gb flash drive.
Whoops, forgot to turn it on. The Tetris lamp and the Metal Gear Revengeance collectors light. The Zelda cart is a 2TB hard drive.
My ancient computer and poor cable management ...
Books don't belong in an office!
The desk toy from Iron Man 2
Toon Link is my newest action figure, just got him last week.
These guys are super cool, but you can never make them look like the box!
The Titanfall collectors edition statue is better than the damn game!
Master Chief hanging out with the Halo Reach collector statue.
Starcraft vs. Ganondorf?
Best.light.switch.ever.
Yeah, I have too many toys ...
That would be a bar of soap, shaped as an NES cart that is a combo of Zelda and Castlevania ... love riptapparel!
These guys don't get much love, they hide in the dark.
Boxes!
I need more room, for real.
amiibo's + random games (CD-i Zelda's, Bonk from TG16, AvP from Jag and many others)
Final Fantasy shelf #1
Final Fantasy shelf #2
Final Fantasy shelf #3
Final Fantasy shelf #3 - part 2 (can't see with the other shelf in front)
Loose old consoles.
Current generation games
NES/SNES/N64 (needs some lovin') + The rose colored gaming limited edition Zelda repro's (I got #49/50 at a local convention directly from the creator!)
Genesis, PS1, Dreamcast. I bet I'm the only one who paid retail for Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel edition

Ahhh, all my old NES games from childhood ... many of which are covered in permanent marker that called out who owned which game between me and my brother, memories!
Previous gen ... nothing fun here really.
Of all the random stuff in my room, for some stupid reason Cartman seems to get the most attention.
PS2, Xbox, Gamecube - well guarded!
Longbox PS1, Dreamcast, both Lunar's and Arc the Lad. Lara Croft is awesome but sucks at being able to stand upright so she's hidden in the corner ... slacker.
Intellivision & Atari, where it all started for me.
