Games That Should Be On DS

Post by Radiant Hero »

With the control versatility of the Nintendo DS, certain dying genres (such as the point and click adventure) have seen a rebirth in games like Hotel Dusk and Ace Attorney. I can only dream that great past games such as Grim Fandango and The Last Express make it onto the little dual screen wonder. What past games do think could be revived for the DS?

I wanna see BATTLE TANX DS. I had all kinds of fun with BattleTanx on the N64, I think this game would be perfect for the DS.

I'd love to see a Street Fighter II/Alpha iteration ported to the DS, perhaps Alpha 2 or Super Turbo; after seeing Midway port UMK3 I don't think it'd too far of a stretch.

deja vu with touch support, ogre battle snes with new features, chrono trigger and old ff games can gain from the second screen as well. also some more work on the snes emulation.

Grim Fandango and Mario Paint are excellent suggestions.

I would like to see Turok 2 and Pilotwings hit the DS. Both games could work very effectively on the DS. With a lot of the original Turok 2 already working on the DS (Dementium: The Ward) it makes perfect sense.

I think Sega's Shining Force series and Working Designs "Dragon Force" would also rock on the Nintendo DS. I'd be excited for the latter of those two especially, cause I just recently got addicted to Dragon Force on my Sega Saturn. It'd be even better if the developers could translate the Japanese versions of these games that never made it to the states (such as Shining Force III scenarios 2 and 3, or Dragon Force 2) so those of us who can't read kanji could enjoy them.

Dream on, though, right? lol.
