If people hate on the Peavey Bandit, they don't know what they're talking about. That thing is responsible for some of the sickest Swedish death metal of all time (in combination with Boss pedals like the revered HM-2, of course).

Is it really!? Makes sense, cuz that amp tone can literally rip through thickest low-end!

Yep, most of the stuff that came out of Sunlight Studios was done with an HM-2 juiced Bandit, although later records were done with other amps and pedals too. But think early Entombed and Dismember, and there you go. The thing is a clean power beast and takes pedals like a champ, so that's likely why your POD setup sounds really good through that as opposed to a more colored amp.

EDIT: I think some of the stuff out of Studio Friedman like At The Gates, In Flames, and Dark Tranquility may have also had some HM-2/MT-2+Bandit action going on thru the infamous homemade cab they had there.

some Peavey amps are nothing to sneeze at. Bandit, Butcher, 5150 are all great amps.

currently i have an LTD M-200 and a gibson SG standard, and i play through a '72 Ampeg V4 w/ a matching cab. i also have a TS-9 from the 90's that's my main boost pedal. and i have a boss DD-6 delay pedal that i don't use too much anymore, because there is no room in thrash for space travel.

Have a Fender Squire (B&W) bass guitar that I play from time to time. Due to having one hand, I play Hendrix style and can shred a few licks, but am still a bonafide amateur.

You like your LTD, aaron Reginald? I love mine—an EC-1000T/CTM.

My current main gear is the LTD thru a Jet City JCA22H into an H&K Tubemeister 12". Downsized from my Mesa 4x12 because I don't really play out much and it took up too much space. The H&K cab was a perfect replacement. Same V30 speaker, just in a smaller package. Still gets loud as fuck.

Juice my stuff depending on mood. Mostly with a Boss GE-7 EQ twisted like a TS with the mid range bump, works really well for anything, as the amp has plenty of gain on tap. If I wanna get a nasty flavor, I can throw my modded MT-2 or my HM-2 in front as light ODs on top of the amp's gain.

My grandfather gave me his guitar. It is a '56 Gibson Country and Western. More of an heirloom than a player, but I will get it out and mess with it from time to time.

Whoa...I'd love to see that. Snap a photo and post it here when you get a chance!

yeah same here, i bet that guitar is sweet.

TSTR, yeah i'm a fan of it. it's my main guitar at the moment, but i just bought new tuners for the SG so that might change. those stock gibson tuners are garbage.
