Weird problem with my CRT HDTV

You can see the video playing fine, but then for a couple of seconds the screen goes black (black as in the no light) and then comes back up. It's kind of like my TV's screen just turned off and turned back on (sound works even though the screen is restarting). That's actually how my TV screen turn's on. It starts off really dark and then goes blue and then after a second the colors are fine.

It has only happened for 3 times for 3 separate video files so far over the last couple of months.

It is an MKV file btw. And I know it happened with an AVI file as well. I am using VLC.

btw, while testing, I noticed that is isn't just the video that will go black. The whole screen will go black (my whole desktop along with the video file etc). So it's like something triggers my screen to go blank and black for a couple of seconds.

now... the weird part is.... if I rewind it back to the same part, it will do the same exact thing. Which I don't understand.

I haven't experienced this issue yet when I watched hours of MLB.tv and WWE network in HD. So far, it has only happened with video files.

Anyone know what this mean? You think my TV is about to die? Or is something just up with these video rips that forces my old CRT HDTV to restart it's screen.
