the new DS one's are pretty good, but definately not the best. I really like gold and silver versions, but because of their shitty save battery I can't enjoy them anymore. (I will replace it soon) My favorite is red version for the GBC.

Definately the GSC series, and then the DS ones. What I hate about Diamond and Pearl is that they took away many good stuff from Emerald, such as the Battle Frontier, and teh option to fight teh Gym Leaders again.

I like Gold and Silver the most!

Back when I was twelve years old I thought it was unbelievable how they put a clock in the game, put in 100 more Pokemon, and made the world twice as large. It really impressed me.

I think Red/Blue is the most solid and best set. They have just enough pokemon that it is not over bearing. However if you have a group of people to play any of them, it makes the game alot more enjoyable.

Gold/Silver/Crystal no contest. Two regions, tons of stuff to do, a rival who doesn't suck, and a real villain. RBY introduced Team Rocket, but GSC really brought them to life!

IMO Red/Blue were the best pokemon games, they just seem "right" to me. 151 seems like a really good amount of original pokemon designs and names, i mean look at them now theyre a MESS. 151 is also a beleivable amount to collect, 251 PUSHED it now its over 400! ill never be able to catch em' all now. Gold/Silver/Crystal were good tho. Ruby/Emerald/Saphire never touched em (thats when i kinda gave up on pokemon), i have played Fire Red/Leaf Green those were OK for semi remakes.

now the DS games, i have played. I only beat the first two gym leaders and these were pretty good so far, i still hate most of the new pokemon designs and names. i would like to continue diamond soon.

Got all 151 on Red. Tried playing Gold but it made the game far too complex for my tastes. I just couldn't be bothered to "catch 'em all".

Kicking ass with a team of 99s (natural 99s too, none of that horse shit rare candy hax). It was funny beating my mates with their level 225 golbats and they just couldn't understand why. My lineup was Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Mew, Mewtwo, Gyrados.
