Looking for a Japanese styled N64 game (forgot name)

I don't remember a lot about it, a part from it is in a world that looks like edo period Japan? And you have multiple characters that you can use, I do not remember the items in the game, but I do remember you could find and use batteries for something.

I really do not remember the name of this game, a part from the buildings in the game looking all old-school Japanese, and there were around 3-4 playable characters?

I had this as a child, and I really want to look for it on ebay.. but i am completely lost, hopefully some of the smart minds here can point me in the right direction!
