Metal Slug Xbox Live arcade Wii virt Console?

Post by Mega-Dan »

Why doesnt SNK just port the metal slug games and King of fighter games to xbox live arcade instead of rereleasing them a million times with slight variations? This way fans can play them online! that would be awesome. I was really disappointed that metal slug 3 for xbox 1 could not be played cooperatively online, that was SO LAZY! A xbox live version of any metal slug or KOF would probably be in the top tier games for the system, but no they release Metal slug for the psp and yet another miniscule change to the king of fighters franchise for the PS2 without any online. I am getting really fed up with SNK as a company. At least capcom is getting wise and releasing street fighter II to xbox live arcade with online, that will be pretty cool. Hopefully with more to follow.

I've kinda wondered this myself.
I guess they thought they would sell more that way?

PS2 versions of KOF lame

Post by Mega-Dan »

The ps2 versions of King of fighters are pretty lame, I mean they dont add much and they dont even include any past versions, what is up with that? Why cant they make a new version and gime me 2002, 2003 and 96 or something? THat would be worth getting, and why they dont have internet is just puzzling since the PS2 slim has a ethernet port and you can get a modem for the old version ps2...just lame.
Xbox arcade would be great for king of fighters 96, which to me looks pretty much the same as many of hte later games (recycled sprites).

I would say that most people do not have Xbox live accounts. Also look at how crappy the port of SF2T is going to Xbox live. Its still laggy and its been delayed for how many months now?

I am glad they delayed Street fighter

Post by Mega-Dan »

Capcom is a good company, they delayed rather than releasing a bad product, like many companies would (EA). I am sure by the time they release it the game will be pretty good. I am sure they want to continue to milk this franchise as they have for the past decade for at least a few more years, and what better way than rereleasing the same games but with online support, thats a pretty easy way to make new money on old properties.
