So how are Xbox One controllers?
Microsoft finally released pc drivers for the One controllers. Personally I love the 360 controller, but curious if there's Any reason to "upgrade."

The only advantage I have heard of is dpad. The only one I can really think of is that new games will be setup for Xbone instead of 360, but since the controls are laid out the same it shouldnt matter.

Too expensive. They go for $60 or $75 for the Titanfall one.
And you get tacked on the wireless and cannot access it. You have to tether it via a micro USB cord. Either go wireless and pay that "tax" for the convenience or go wired and save!
I'll probably buy one anyway

This is the biggest reason, the DPAD. I mean I didn't really care before, as most of the games I play don't use it for anything other than switching weapons, but it is noticeably better. The form factor on the thing fits in the hand better as well, because the battery doesn't stick out from the back. One detractor for me is the shoulder buttons, they don't press down as easily.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I've been thinking of switching to a wired controller for PC, and the idea of the XBone controllers was intriguing—til I looked at prices. Now I'm looking at these for improved d-pad action:
Hori Gem Pad EX

Power A Mini Pro EX

^ This is the Xbone controller. Better D-Pad but the shoulder buttons aren't as good.

I've used hori controllers. It was great for the price but the sticks were just a tiny bit off in feel. I also used madcatz controllers but the triggers and bumpers felt weird. A bumper fell off eventually.
Ultimately the wired and wireless with included dongle Microsoft controllers just do it best no surprise there. I've taken advantage of sales that brought some of my controller purchases down to equal or below 3rd party controllers.

I agree with others. The d-pad is slightly better, and the controller feels a little different overall. It's not worth upgrading from a 360 pad IMO.
Re: So how are Xbox One controllers?
I don't like the analog sticks on the Xbox One controller as much. I feel like the PS4 analog sticks were an upgrade over previous DS controllers and the One analog sticks are a downgrade from the 360. But I'll still get one and get used to it. Didn't know the drivers were finally ready!
Re: So how are Xbox One controllers?
I like it more, but I don't really think it's worth dumping money on just to "upgrade" from the 360 controller.
