Are there any two player co-op games that aren't violent?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Are there any two player co-op games that aren't violent?

Post by Scooter »

I'd like to encourage my wife to play video games with me but she really doesn't like violence in entertainment. That got me thinking about what two-player co-op games that aren't violent that I might get her to participate in. Racing games aren't really an option as cars don't interest her either. Years ago I got her to play Ecco the Dolphin and that's kind of up her alley. Perhaps Saturn Bomberman (it's cartoony violence which is okay) but can you think of any others?

I could get her to play Wii Sports (we have at a friend's house) if we only had a Wii...... (which is not in the budget right now).

My wife is obsessed with Lego Star Wars.
I guess you could consider it violent, but everything is acted out with Lego pieces.
It's suitable for kids, so I don't see an issue :)

Anyway, her and I play the game together and the main draw is solving puzzles together to progress through the levels.
Combat is just a bonus :)

The wife and I play Scene It Lights, Camera, Action for the 360. Were both movie buffs and it was a easy way to get 1000 achievement points :) My wife also likes games like burnout.. she loves crashing cars into things..

Puzzle versus on split screen is usually a good option. Tetris, Puzzle Fighter, Lumines... etc. Also, shmups are fun 2-player co-op.

The NES tengen tetris has a co-op option, that'll make her hate either games, tetris, you or all of them.
