Recommendation for games like Vigilante (Arcade)?

Hi guys,
I really enjoyed playing through Vigilante on MAME this weekend and wondered if there's anything else in this genre that's good? Specifically a beat 'em up where you don't walk up and down - just left and right

Odd I know but I think it's an interesting feature. I have played the game before this, Kung-Fu Master but not much else like it.

Recommendations?

Bad Dudes immediately came to mind -

There's also Ninja Warriors and Hagane on the SNES that might qualify. Shinobi relies heavily on projectiles so it might not suit your criteria.
