Wii BUST A MOVE BASH Revisions - Classic Controller Issue

Wii BUST A MOVE BASH Revisions?
Single Player Classic Controller Issue

Image

I noticed there are two types of game discs, one with with rainbow art matching the case cover and the other disc a plain orange with just text.

I ended up getting the rainbow art disc which seems more obscure and noticed that the Classic Controller does not work. From reading reviews it only works in multiplayer mode for players 5 thru 8. Kind of neat having the 8 player on single screen at once option.

For anybody owning the orange BUST MOVE BASH disc, does it support the Classic Controller in Single Player mode? :?:

A bump to see if any luck yet. I just might have to buy the orange disc to verify Classic Controller single player mode.

Picked up an used Orange Disc copy of Wii Bust A Bash from Gamestop which allows an easy refund after the testing. I kept the more uncommon rainbow logo disc version after the verify.

Confirmed that the Classic Controller is ONLY for the Mutiplayer games. However, the other player(s) can be set to CPU autoplay though. Disappointing that the Classic Controller will not work on the single screen, both it and the Nunchuck are for players 5-8. :?

That's interesting. It seems that they were really in love with their Wiimote twist control scheme, and wanted to make sure player's experienced it by any means possible. I, personally, couldn't stand the motion control and only played Bash for ten minutes before putting in the trade in pile. On a tangent, the hyper-local-multiplayer reminds me of the TG16 Bomberman games on Wii VC that you could extend to five players with GC pads.

There is a WiiWare Bomberman game that lets you use 4 motes and 4 GC controllers, for up to 8-player Bomberman goodness!
