Okay, okay. This might get some flack, or a few laughs. But I'm not joking!
This system doesn't get enough appreciation. And there has to at least be a handful of people who still prop this thing up every now and then.
I just pulled mine out recently, and played Mario Tennis for an hour or so. Like Keith Apicary says, "I played that game for so long, that thing deserves its own song." I love how much the system just draws me in. I know it's just red and black, but when I pull my head out of those goggles, I feel dazed. Like I just came back from an epic, virtual journey.
Or maybe that's just the loads of ibuprofen talking. Anyways, I know this is a long shot, but who out there still plays Virtual Boy?!
How's your Virtual Boy gaming going?

Sadly, I only played one once at a Target store demo kiosk.
I would like one, but it's not a high priority considering the premium it commands now.
Also ... I want that song.

if i still have my Virtual Boy i would probably be playing/trying this:

..of course i would need a VB flash cart to go along with it....and plenty of headaches afterwards.

Ah, that's so cool! My buddy and I were just talking about emulation on the Virtual Boy earlier today, but I had no idea people were trying it! I can't see the appeal, though. It's not like it's convenient to play gameboy games on the VB.. Although, not a lot about this thing is convenient!

That is so cool. I have to wonder how they map the buttons, with the virtual boy not quite having six of them (not including start/select). It's a real shame they never made a link cable, either. I can think of a couple games that would've been really fun multiplayer.

I admit I laughed when I saw the headline, but I'd totally be interested in some actual game analysis beyond "It is red and black and dumb please god why"

The red actually lends itself to Metroid very well

I'm actually considering selling my VB and games considering they've been sitting on my shelf for about three years now without any love.
