Give a Dude a Hand
Two cents, ten cents, it doesn't matter. Please participate.
I'm pretty skeptical when "help me out" posts drop on forums. but I can assure you that this dude is a good duder, and I don't throw out the term "duder" often.
I really don't have much to offer as I don't get rid of games, or dupes for that fact, but if anyone wants to throw in on a copy of Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! or Crash Wrath of Cortex, those are the two games I have to give away as long as you donate to the cause.
Or better yet, just throw the duder a bone or two.
My goal is to raise $100 for the guy and his family, which isn't much, but in reality is a lot.
Want to see a dude with one hand play Beethoven's Simple Sonata #6? I gotcha. I'll take requests as long as I can help a pal.
Re: Give a Dude a Hand
Sure do, and I also know almost everyone who has made a donation as well. Brad's usually a really positive guy who doesn't talk much about his illness, so he kind of threw a curve ball with his "fundme" announcement.
Re: Give a Dude a Hand
So as I mentioned I don't have many games to auction off, but maybe there is something I can do to get a few donations.
A copy of my personal cookbook?
A signed headshot?
A video of me rollerblading in spandex?
Share one of my actual movie reviews?
Have an affair with Natalie Portman?
You throw any suggestion out there and I'll probably do it for charity. You'd be helping out a really super guy who wants nothing more than to do good for his family. And trust me, Brad is pretty humiliated about asking for donations, but when the going gets tough he'll do whatever he needs to do for his son and wife.

Re: Give a Dude a Hand
Donated $10. It's not much, but I hope it helps him.
I don't want to start a debate but I do want to point out that this man volunteered at a church in a rough city for 7 years. But, since he came out as an Atheist, these same people that he spent his last few good years helping have now turned their back on him. IMO, that's disgusting. I have people that I consider great friends that have fundamental differences of opinions with me in terms of religion, child-rearing, politics, and pretty much other important facet of life and I would never leave them in a time of need, nor would they leave me. That just really bothers me.

If you ever need my assistance, please let me know.
Thank you so much for your donation, and don't be silly, $10 means a lot.
Yeah, the entire atheist thing crippled him something brutal. I'm surprised he even opened up about that, but at the same time I know he at least wants to let people know his walk of life.
Again, thanks. I'm lucky to call Brad a friend, and I'm glad that I'm part of this community, which is all so often kind and giving.

Re: Give a Dude a Hand
Normally, I'm a selfish jerk who never gives anyone a dime. I have waked right past pan handlers, rolled my eyes at pancake breakfast fundraisers, and told the Fraternal Order of Police to stop calling me. This time it was Luke who talked me into giving. Damn he's a good salesman.
Ten bucks more donated. Convince eight more racketeers, and you'll meet your goal for the day.

Give yourselves a pat on the back. I'm serious, give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back.
You guys rule, and I'll be sure to let Brad know where his extra donations are coming from. He's going to be super gracious and elated. You have no idea how happy this simple act of kindness will make him. You are helping an entire family (let that sink in) in a time of struggle. Makes me smile from ear to ear that you are willing to help.
Again, thanks.
