Male to male interconnect cable - Genesis 2 style
This sends Genesis RGB video into the 32X for processing.
Needed for: All makes and models of the Genesis (except Genesis 3, Nomad and other units that can't use a 32X, of course. And probably LaserActive and other oddball units).

Image
Male Din-8 to female mini-Din converter AKA Genesis 1 to Genesis 2 style
This enables your Genesis one to use Genesis 2 style video cables (audio will not transfer if you use a Genesis 2 stereo cable).
Needed for: Genesis 1 only. I have no idea about Wondermega and stuff like that.[/QUOTE]

I just need these two parts I just recently aquired a sega with teh CD and 32x Attachments(the Cd was for the Gen 1 (the one that sits under the sega))

Help me out please Ive been lookin everywhere and I dont seem to be having anyluck.

Not really, I do have one of the Gen 2 to Gen 2, but I have 4 32x :S Actually, you can just stick wires in there and it will work, a friend of mine did it, he stuck the wires in there and filled the thing with hot silicon glue and kept that genesis and that 32x together.

Actually What size wires did he use and how many? Do you know of a diagram? Im actually thinking of doing this now.

Ill just have to use it with my Gen2. That is of course you have a spare you could spare. :(

EDIT: Okay I just wired them together. I must say it really does work. But my new question is How the hell do I power the system off? My gen2 seems to just be able to reset and nothing else.

Yeah I did this as well for my first 32X i had... I used sewing needles and I think it was 16 gauge wire and I stuck the needles through some hard plastic imprinted with the RGB cable I already had for the video out to keep the needles in perfect placement.... this way I could unplug the cable.

I gave it to some kid on SX.com though.

ANyways... I wish I could remember the website, but I called Sega's US parts department (found the number on my old Genesis manual). They said the don't sell stuff for their old consoles and said they sell off all their old parts to this one company whom they gave me the number and web address for.

Sorry, but I can't remember the website though... something like sega-parts.com

yep just tried... those are the guys. www.sega-parts.com

They have the conversion cable (your second pic) for like 2 bucks.

Actually they dont even have the cords. They really need to take those links off. Anyways, I just used some 16gauge wire or something bigger and just connected them wire to wire. works great. now I just need to find some way to keep them in as I dont have any glues to use.
