So I figure I would start a thread about streaming.. Any ideas on the various capture devices you are interested in purchasing? Atm I use This, but plan on trying to purchase this due to the simple fact that it supports more resolutions and has the best possible quality of any similar device on the market.. This is crucial if you actually want to stream games from older consoles like the Genesis and Saturn, as it supports those native resolutions and output types.. But then again there are many options out there that are similar to the LGP(7th gen and newer stream devices) and I only chose this because it was a popular choice to buy at the time..
Just so you are curious about streaming here is what you need.
1. Decent internet with good upload. 4 MB and up
2. For console streaming you will need a capture device like what I previously discussed in this post above..
3. For PC streaming you obviously need a gaming rig that runs games
4. A good CPU(there is an option to run some load off the CPU of your PC for better streaming quality.) Usually an i7 is recommended.( yes you can use a good gaming laptop also since the CPU in the recent models are similar to 2nd and 3rd generation Ivy Bridge CPUs)
5. An account on a streaming website such as Twitch or Ustream.
Those sites provide everything you need to have a decent page with various settings to your liking.. All you do is stream whatever you want as long as it doesn't break any rules such as streaming a game before release date, or copyright issues..
