Sega Genny Model 1/SCD/32x Stereo Sound Question

Can someone remind me of how this works?

Do I tap all the stereo sound via the Sega CD's stereo jacks? Or do I get this from the 32x AV output? Assuming everything is connected correctly with the mixer cable going from the Genny 1 to the SCD.

Headphone jack from Model 1 Gen to Sega CD. Stereo RCA out to the TV/receiver. (That's assuming everything else is connected normally.)
