Show Off Your Sega Entertainment Centers

I want to see the Video Game Centers from our Sega fanboys. It does not have to be purely Sega of course.

Mine is not very impressive but it gets the job done. Here is mine, which consists of a Model 2 Sega Genesis, Model 2 Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, and a PlayStation 2:

These are the best pictures I could get of my center. The lighting was tough as my room and apartment are small and my bed is literally 1 foot away from the TV stand:

I keep all my controllers stashed in one of the TV stand's storage compartments:

I got 2 six button Genesis controllers, 1 Model 2 Saturn controller and 1 Saturn 3D pad, 2 Dreamcast Controllers (both with VMU and Rumble Packs) in there.

And I play all my Sega consoles on this 120 pound monster CRT HDTV:

I got the Genesis hooked up with standard composite video with stereo, and my Saturn and Dreamcast are hooked up with S-Video

I didn't see a reason to post a picture of my games, as it largely consist of back ups on CD-Rs, College Slam on Saturn, Shenmue on Dreamcast, and some Genesis cartridges.

Once I move into a house, I hope to have a better and exclusive center for my Sega systems and room to add a Sega CD and 32x and maybe a Master System.

I sold the Genesis console organizer I got to JMustang but I have these.

This one came to me in this case that someone cut to fit.

Yea... I'm sure there are better ways of storing them. But it is just so many wires. And wrapping the wire of the Saturn 3D Control Pad is the biggest pain.

I just feel better stuffing them in a closed storage compartment and not having to look at them instead of keeping them with the systems all the time.

I'm supremely jealous of those storage cases, Hobie.

My setups are all over the place, nothing is particularly organized right now. I mostly just have systems hooked up with a controller sitting on them, the others are tied up and put away somewhere else.

I prefer leaving one controller always plugged in per console with the cable loosely coiled on the top or front of each console. Coiled only after initially plugged in to keep cable straight during a session. Not as clean for a "Museum" display, but certainly more functional since always ready. The unplugging and plugging in every day to play can't be good for the controller ports. Extra controllers are stored in Plastic Folding Boxes, the cables again loosely wrapped under and not around the controllers.

Most everything I have is either in a dresser or a chest I keep in my closet. Sad I know but someday when I get a house(hopefully soon!) I will set something up.

How is it having to play while standing up though?

It seems like it would be cool for fighters and other arcady games, but seems a pain if you wanted to play a RPG.

You hit the nail on the head. Quicker games(especially fighters) are fine and quite fun with friends. Anything longer I use my other Saturn I have in another room. Not to mention, switching games can be a pain in the butt. Have to take the front entirely off to even get to the Saturn to change games. So its mostly for show. Oddly enough tho, the last time I played PDS was on my cabinet. I just pulled up a bar stool lol
