It seemed to have fallen into the forgotten pile of "another series' kart racing game."
I bought it during Black Friday, but only started playing it the other day. It seems like a pretty solid game. And it's LBP, so there's the whole create/share thing going on. I haven't checked to see if there's many user created tracks yet, but I've been having a blast creating a track of my own. Actually, I'm having more fun creating a track than I was playing the story mode.
Any one else playing this?

Well if you wanna check out the level I made, just search for "Hannah Savannah."
I just played a Sonic level, called Green Hill Zone if I'm not mistaken. The creator put a lot of effort into it. I'm about to play a Moo Moo Farm (Mario Kart 64) level. It amazes me how amazing some of the user created levels are. My level is lame by comparison (but to be fair, it is my first).

I have LBPK but haven't tested the level editing, practice is important but being unique can net you some fans of your work as well. Using objects for what they weren't intended for will have other people guessing how stuff was made and plenty of play testing and feedback can help improving. I often get lost messing with editors in games and love them, to me I rather provided more content for the players than playing sometimes. I haven't signed into psn and probably don't remember my login info anymore either but I would like to check out some tracks if people want to get together for some kart racing!
On a side note Modnation racers isn't as advance as LBPK but has its own merits as well, played that the other night and liked it but some of the loading was often and ridiculous.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Tell me about it. I was always amazed with the user created levels in LBP1, and I think it was the main reason I never tried to create my own level(s). The bar was set way high. I loaded the level creator once or twice but never tried anything. It just seemed too daunting. With Karting though, it seems like you can make a fun track even if it isn't so creative with tons of gadgets to doodahs.

Well I just beat the story mode, and I have a good chunk of all the prizes. I saw on PSN that for $3 you can unlock all the prizes. I was tempted to do it, just to concentrate on creating more.

Same goes for me, only just bought a ps3, (for Xmas), got quite a few games but only playing GT6 ATM. Are the LBP games any good ?

I think they are the most inventive retail platformers in a long time, and arguably the best platforming series of the past generation that didn't have the word "Mario" in the title.
