Fallout removed from GOG.com.

Post by MrEco »

http://www.gog.com/news/removed_from_ca ... _2_tactics

A sad day for fans of classic cRPG's, and a big middle finger from Bethesda. Many people thought/knew this was coming, but in case anyone here hasn't heard yet, the three classic Fallout games are no longer available to purchase on GOG.com as of today. The only upside being that they're still available for download for anyone who's already purchased them.

I hope everyone here managed to get a copy when they were being given out for free during the winter sale.

This is probably why GOG was giving them away free.

This is exactly why GOG was giving them away for free.

Also, this doesn't preclude a deal being worked out between Bethesda and GOG, it just means they weren't able to work something out before the Interplay rights expired (which could be for any number of perfectly valid and reasonable reasons).

Damn, I'm glad I got my free copies.

Steam also just gave away Left 4 Dead 2 for free. I wonder if they're having any problems with Valve.

There's a reason we use blue text here on Racketboy.
