Looks like a major plus to the PC then. Thoughts?
For example, I noticed when playing Sonic Generations on the Xbox 360 that I couldn't stand the way the graphics were scaled to 720p from an obviously much lower res and the choppy framerate. Almost unenjoyable to me, especially compared to the smoothness of the Genesis games. 1080p and 60fps is possible with this game however on the PC.

Console Games and Bad Performance
Re: Console Games and Bad Performance
I agree that Sonic Generations is pure shit on consoles (and also kind of a shit game regardless of the resolution and framerate). I still don't want a gaming PC, though. They're expensive and I'd pretty much only use it for gaming. Plus I like to OWN my games. As in have a real copy. I will not buy anything where the games are download only, not even a console. Steam has absolutely ZERO appeal to me and Gabe doesn't make me hard like he makes everyone else. When consoles go download-only, I will stop buying them and just live in the past instead. It's better there anyway.

While i cant totally disagree with his Lord Sackness, i did like Sonic Generations, i liked the mix of 2D and 3D throwback to it, i have it on the PS3 and Steam.
The graphics looked really good to me and cant say i noticed any lag/freezing/fps issues.
Probably one of the best Sonic games as of current generation.

One of the big reasons I have gone to PC for multi-plats.
