Telltale making a Borderlands adventure game

Post by SpaceBooger »

I'm a fan of Telltale. I have played Borderlands a couple of times. I will get this game.

Tales from the Borderlands will feature new and old characters from the Borderlands world in an episodic, story-driven game. According to Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford, the game "will play like a Telltale game." The first episode will launch in 2014. Watch the game's trailer below. (see link)

Oh shit. Keeping my eye on this one.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Im a HUGE Borderlands fan, but Im actually kinda upset with the choice on this. I mean sure, for all I know they are working on Borderlands 3 secretly, but if not? Psh. From what I understand this will basically be a point and 'click' walkthrough type of game. Correct me if Im wrong, but if thats the case, I think this would be better suited as a 'little bonus game' type of thing rather than the next big Borderlands release. Those walking dead games (apparently made in the same style) were interesting, but not actually fun to play at all. (imo)

The Walking Dead was fantastic. Telltale is really really talented with adventure games. I for one am thrilled that they're taking on a lot of new projects. The Borderlands one is one that I'll be into for sure. The Game of Thrones one I'll probably skip as I've never read the books or seen the show.

yeah I don't really watch a lot of actual TV. The commitment to stick with a show is a burden to me. Mostly, I watch reruns of sitcoms I've seen a million times. And Jeopardy.

Also, I'm not a big fantasy guy. I've seen LOTR trilogy several times. But meh.
