I've gotten Yabause and several favorite games working on my x200 running Ubuntu.
This is a long shot, but has anyone gotten any kind of controller working on Linux with Yabause?

Yabause has no external gamepad support I believe.
Does anything exist for Linux like joy2key for Windows? Something that will translate input from a joystick/gamepad into keystrokes?

Yes. Although, Yabause 9.10 claims to have joystick support. I haven't used it myself as I have a modded Saturn. Does your joystick work in other applications?

Was hoping to get some recommendations on what to buy.
I too have a modded saturn but I thought it would be cool to play some of my favorite games on the go. The thinkpad is very light.
