Hello there.
I have the original GBA version, but i haven't heard good things about this port.
I'll probably go with SNES version in emulator, but there is so much patchs out there.
Should i use one of them (Bugfix edition, Retranslate, New Font.... etc etc) for more enjoyment, or just use regular SNES version of ROM?
Final Fantasy III (U) (v1.1) BugfixEdition26.08.2007 looks interesting
Thanks, and sorry for terrible english.
So, i wanna play SNES version of FF6.
So, i wanna play SNES version of FF6.
Sorry for my engrish

First off, the GBA version isn't bad at all. The only problem is the degradation of sound/music, which I suppose would be an issue to some as the game has one of the most beautiful soundtracks of all time.
Second, yes FFVI is buggy, but the bugs are hard to trigger and you're unlikely to encounter too many during a regular playthrough. Don't even worry about them.
Lastly, I prefer the SNES North American version most - Final Fantasy III. Ted Woolsey's translation is excellent. I've played the retranslation too, which is okay - but it lacks the charm of the official English version.
Whatever you choose, here are some patches:

Worth noting - Ted Woolsey did that translation in one month.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

There are several bugs in the original that are noticeable if you know about them, but you can go the entire game without realize they're there. I believe all the major ones were fixed with the GBA release.

This. I played through the game three times in the 1990s, but I never knew about any of the bugs until recently...

I dont have any problems with the original, if you dont like the translation, go play a ROM, if you dont like the bugs, dont use them (talking about the vanish + doom).
There are 2 ROM translations the are unofficial than im aware of, one by "RPGOne" and "Skyrender"
There is a Patch for the PAL ver of FF6 on the GBA that puts the original SNES BGM's back in the game.

There is also a Spoof of FF6 called "Awful Fantasy" it's ridiculous and pretty insulting imo, i played it all the way up to where the 3 scenarios start, but i cant beat Ultros, not sure if the ROM goes any further.
Here's a video of some gameplay from it:

Here is a link to scans of the Olafson guide, its kind of spoiler free, it doesnt offer as many pictures as the NP one does.

FFIV - PSX
FFV - GBA
FFVI - SNES
Those are my preferences.

Every guide will spoil things to a certain extent.
As stated, the Peter Olafson guide has less spoilers than the "straight from the pros at Nintendo" official guide.
Another alternative is to simply use maps.
At VGMaps all of the maps are listed in the approximate order that game locales should be visited (though things do get somewhat non-linear in the second half). All chests and items are labeled. By using these without any text walkthough nothing about the plot will be revealed to you ahead of time.
And here's a spoiler-free text walkthrough I was just able to dig up. Nice and succinct.
