R4i V1.4 Revolution Gold for DS doesn't work on DS

After getting an error message every time I tried to use the R4i V1.4 Revolution Gold for DS for DSi when trying it finally on an original DS all I get is a blank white screen. How can I get it to work on the DS or DSi?

Sorry for the late reply, wish I saw this earlier. I came across my fair share of R4i revolution issues on my DSi.

These usually fix my issues:

- Try setting the date back a few years.

- If that doesn't work, try updating the firmware via the official r4i sdhc website.

- If that doesn't work, back up your saves and game, and format the sd card and put the new firmware and copy the saves and games back on it.

If all of these don't work, you might have done a DS update without updating your R4i firmware first. If this is the case, you might have to get a new R4i card. Or you can try to update your R4i card through someone else's Nintendo ds (who has not done the Nintendo update).
