How Long is Twilight Princess?

Post by Frag Mortuus »

I'm playing Twilight Princess and am just now in the desert dungeon where you get the Poe scent. I'm sitting at about 33 hours so far. I haven't lollygagged much. I have taken a little time to explore but I feel most of my time has been spent pretty efficiently. So, how long does it generally take to beat this game for a first-timer?

The site howlongtobeat.com gives a decent average length for most games.

I want to say that I actually beat it in around 35 hours my first time, but the desert dungeon you're talking about is around halfway through the game.

I've also played lots of Zelda in general, though, so that might be why I got through way faster than you seem to be going.

Awesome, I will use that site from now on.

Yeah, I haven't really played a Zelda game since I bought A Link to the Past when it came out.

I'm at 62 hours and just arrived at the Sky City. Not sure if that is near the end or not, but I seem to be slower than the norm!

That's me. I'm always over the norm. I'm not sure if it's that I'm slow or just prefer to take my time. Maybe both. :P

Guess I'm like this and yeah, always take my time in these games... but still just blast through the dungeons and stuff without much trouble or something.

Did you think Skyward Sword was the longest 3D Zelda? Think I had over 50 hours on that one which seemed crazy.

Same here. But I know why, for me. In these types of games, I'm usually seaching every corner, nook, and cranny for secrets.
