Sonic The Hedgehog 1 NFR Label Variants?

So today I picked up a genesis lot and I was comparing the label art on the sonic the hedgehog I had just picked up to the one I had before. I noticed at first that on one the SEGA logo is blue and on the other it is black. Also where on 1 player symbol on the black SEGA logo version the symbol is blue with a white border, but on blue SEGA logo the symbol is split in half blue and white. Also on the Black label it has the Genesis seal of quality while the blue label has the SEGA seal of quality. Has anyone else noticed this? Is one a later release or were they just packaged with different systems?
