Dear Dreamcast, Its time to say goodbye

Post by mas »

Dear Sega Dreamcast,
You have been in my household for almost 4 years. We built a very nice collection over that course. Project justice, Power Stone 1 and 2, every Capcom title all the great games that you loved to have in your system. Crazy Taxi, Grandia, soul caliber sonic 1 and 2 the list goes on. Over 60 plus games some imports also but as you turn 14, we played our last day together on 9/9/13. Tomorrow I will sell you to other collectors as I move on. Thank you for all the memories and good luck dreamcast.

As a lot of you read in the last few month's I was having a bad moment in my life and that has all changed now. I sold most of my collection to now only going to own 2 systems left. A ps2 and a wii. I no longer have the urge for games to much anymore and my last thing on the list was to sell the dreamcast after 9/9. I have a lot of the dreamcast ports on the ps2 and well the dreamcast needs a good home instead of just sitting on my shelf for almost 4-6 months without being played. Every time I wanted to or say I was going to I never did. It would just sit and collect dust.
I sold 7 systems so far and I feel good about it. Now I know that I will get heat from this but I would rather sell the dremcast than the ps2. I am just a casual gamer now. My collecting days are over. I only play on my days off from work and I am just going to start to play sonic all stars for the wii. I also want to thank all the people here who love to play or write about the dreamcast who made me buy 1 almost 4 years ago. I figure I should just write about this and post it to remind me later on if I have an itch again for buying games and collect that I can go back to this post and remind myself that I already had this before and to walk away from buying games that you wont play or waste money and space.

You totally needed to create yet another thread about this.

kicking things out of the house when they turn 14 doesn't usually pan out very well

THIS. A year later or more likely sooner with another Thread, "Should I buy a Dreamcast?"

If you go through with it, let me know what you're asking for Power Stone 1 & 2.

at least you know that you will have no problem getting those games to good homes here on RB (you are posting them here right?) and I am sure they will go quickly. I have to agree with others though, I would hate to see a thread down the like saying "WTB Dreamcast!" and talking about how you regret selling it.
