Dragons are awesome. This is an empirically proven fact. Experts all around the globe agree.
Dragons are bitchin'. - Mark Twain
I met a dragon once, he blew my mind. - Some guy with a beard from a recently released book called The Bible.
So the question of this thread, my dear reader, is this: What is, in your opinion, the most accurate and/or your favorite representation of a dragon in video games?
Personally I think Skyrim represents them very accurately. A classic, if somewhat unimaginative, portrayal of dragon kind that makes them out to be very epic. Although in-game they are a bit easy to defeat sometimes.
My favorite portrayal of dragons though comes from Dark Souls. Basically because they, as dragons should, will murder you. Every time. Unless you cheat.
This thread is meant for fun, and not to be taken too seriously. : D

I love the way the Dragons walk in Skyrim.
I'm not a big fan of dragons in general but my sister is a massive admirer. She has tons of dragon figurines including some that were hand-crafted with emeralds and rubies for eyes. She has tons of various other dragon things. Imagine a room filled with dragon stuff the way we have gaming rooms. She's moving into a new house this month so I'll try to remember to take pictures once she starts setting them all up.

Oh yes! That's what actually gave me the idea for this thread, because I recently bought Dragon's Crown.Damm64 wrote:I like the style that Vanillaware has put into them

Re: Here Be Dragons
I have a few:
I like the way the Dragonkin in World of Warcraft were integrated in Vanilla. Black Wing Lair and Onyxia's Lair specifically, the Emerald Dragons, Azuregoes, and the outdoor raids. There was a lot of sweet lore to be had and cool encounters. Things get wonky after Lich King, but those were some sweet dragons!
The three Dragons in Skyward Sword were pretty neat. Valoo on Dragon Roost Island in Wind Waker was cool too. And you can't forget Volvagia from Ocarina of Time.
Last, I can't help but think of the symbol of the Dragon. It calls back painful memories of my past. It was November 29, 1986, a Saturday. I was walking up the hill back to the family dojo. Upon my arrival and to my alarm I saw my father battling with a green-silk robed man. He kept going on and on about some sacred Dragon Mirror. I watched as my father was killed in slow motion, like some bad kung-fu movie. I also got cold-cocked in the process. That day I swore revenge. I looked for some sailors, drove a forklift, took a one way trip to China, and met a chick on a motorcycle and bought a bunch of gashapons. Anywho, fast forward 26 years and I'm still stuck in a cave, waiting for sweet sweet revenge. One day I'll take back that Dragon mirror from that Lan Di bastard's cold, wrinkled, dead hands.

The dragon's from Dragon's dogma are pretty cool. They can sometimes just be found chilling in the woods but will attack with all kinds of anger if they spot you. They also take AGES to kill, one took me from sunset to sun-up to eventually fell.
This guy as well,

I found this picture from an article that was aptly titled Why Baldur's Gate 2 is better RPG than Dragon age 2

Re: Here Be Dragons

Breath of Fire 3 and 4 had some pretty bitchin' designs for dragons.
