Rayman Legends

Post by RyaNtheSlayA »

So, the reviews are starting to trickle in. Looks like they put some real effort into the game after the exclusivity-loss delay. It scored a 10/10 from Eurogamer and a 9/10 from Gamespot. Looks like the only real problem the game has is that the Murphy based sections are a bit crazy on the other platforms that lack the WiiU's touchpad. It apparently includes over 40 levels from the original Rayman Origins too and is filled with tons of unlockables.

So, I mean, I've been hyped about this game for ages. 3hile I was sad to see it delayed (I bought a WiiU for it even), I am glad to see that everything turned out almost better than my expectations. I really hope it sells better than Origins, which made just enough to get Legends green-lit.

Oh wow, this is out in 4 days. Thanks for the reminder, I just pre-ordered it now. Going halfs with the girlfriend. I'm so glad the reviews have been so positive.

Really hope this isn't as overrated as the first game was

I'll probably try the Vita version, since it has touch controls and exclusive content

This was one of my most wanted Wii U games when I got it at launch (along with the Wonderful 101). The demo I played before the console launched was awesome and I couldnt wait! But thats all that happened, was we waited, and waited, until they went and pushed it back all the way till now to port it to other systems. Now, not only does it have to compete with other big name titles, but I would rather pick it up for the Vita after a price drop or used, but before it was a guaranteed Wii U day one buy for me.

Why didn't you just wait to get it on the PS3?

Because it was a WiiU exclusive all the way up till two weeks before it's initial February launch date. That's why.

So wait... is it still worth getting Origins? I'm confused if this is an improved/double feature kind of thing or what.

Looks and sounds amazing though. I wish Earthworm Jim could be revived like this.

Ah, all the more reason to exercise patience and not rush buying consoles. Thanks for the lesson.

It is a double feature. Rayman Legends is all new and it includes Rayman Origins in it.

I thought it only included part of Origins in it. 40 something levels worth. I thought there were about 60 or 70 in Origins but I may be wrong on that.

I don't know if they retooled the graphics on the original stages or not, but the two do have differing graphical designs. Origins has a hand painted, very flat look while Legends has more depth and a slight 3d effect to everything.
