Best Free Browser-Based Games

Post by someone3760 »

I'm not sure if there is a thread like this yet (so if there is please correct me). I know there is Steam and a lot of good games are free on there, but this is if you don't want to set up one or just have some free time on the internet.

I would recommend Samorost. It is a very quirky point n' click adventure game with a really good atmosphere. I also like the graphical style of it.

I would also reccommend Super Mario Crossover. It is just the original super mario bros. (NES) but you can play as Mario, Link, Mega Man, Samus, Simon Belmont, and Bill R. Every person has different power-ups (Mario:Super, Fireballs Bill R: machine gun, spread shot, etc) and the sound for each level is in accordance to the character you chose. You are at your own risk if you play the updated version, Super Mario Crossover 3.0. Whenever I try to play it on my netbook, the whole computer freezes and I have to turn it off manually. The first one plays perfectly on my netbook though.

If you want to add a new game to the list just add why you like it and a link. It has to be browser based and can be played for free.

The Gameological Society - wich is a great site BTW - reviews these sorts of games all the time, and I would highly recommend browing through their "Sawbuck Gamer" feature if you are looking for recommendations on good browser games:

There is some really great stuff out there.

JT used to post these in this thread: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... ee#p763017

I really liked it and the formatting and was thinking about posting some fun ones there soon.
