Saturn widescreen games, vertical view, and game extras

Post by scott21 »

So i've got bored and decided to run through the US library and check for games that support widescreen mode. Unfortunately, i dont have my saturn anymore, nor a widescreen tv. Luckily SSF auto-detects resolutions and automatically expands nights and xmas nights, so i figure its fairly reliable to work with other games. I've got a complementary thread with my testing results regarding compatibility, but this is will be a separate one with other details. Also i've already ran through the library, looking in the cd directories for obvious extras so i'll throw that list in here as well. This only includes A-Johnny Bazookatone, but hopefully i'll finish the widescreen/compatability part of the list this week.

Code: Select all

Obvious Extras:

Burning Rangers - Wavs and wallpaper
Christmas Nights - Wallpaper
Nights into Dreams - Wallpaper
Sonic Jam - Wallpaper
Ten Pin Alley - The King James bible is in the /Readme and wallpaper in /Bonus

Widescreen Support:

Batman Forever - The Arcade Game (?)
Battle Arena Toshinden Remix
Battle Arena Toshinden URA
Burning Rangers
Clockwork Knight
Clockwork Knight 2
Command & Conquer
Croc - Legend of the Gobbos (?)
Cyberia
Darklight Conflict
Daytona USA
Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition
Enemy Zero
Fighters Megamix
Fighting Vipers
Golden Axe The Duel
Gungriffon Eurasion Conflict
Hang-On GP
High Velocity Mountain Racing Challenge
Highway 2000
Hi-Octane
Iron Storm

Vertical/Horizontal Support:

Galactic Attack - Set to "arcade mode"

If anyone would like to test on real hardware and confirm these, that would be great :) Also the ?'d games go to widescreen resolution, but due to compability reasons I'm not 100% sure.
