Post by ninjainspandex »

Could I buy a broken super famicom controller and swap out its colorful buttons into a super nintendo controller?

Could you put the internals on an American SNES controller into the shell of a SFC controller?

Shells are the same basic mold. When you look at the inside of the face, it even denotes the correct colored buttons for both US and Super Fami.

Genesis and 2600 are the same way. It sucks. Who sits that close to the TV?

Well in the case of the 2600, it has that crazy long ac adapter cable and whatnot. They want you to set the whole console near you.

You have to be close to the 2600 to be able to play it with the game reset switch, so it makes sense.

You could also just use an extension cable, they're plentiful on eBay. Or if swapping the buttons don't work (which I'm pretty sure it would) you could just swap the longer wire from a SNES controller.

I like the colored buttons, but I prefer the two concave buttons the American SNES has.
