Is there any reason to buy power stone 1 or should I just buy powerstone 2.

The original is actually better for 1 or 2-player matches. It more balanced and strategic as it doesn't put a ton of Power Stones all over the place. Power Stone 2 can be a bit too chaotic, but has 4-player support and arenas made for more players.

Well put. I think PS2 brought back some PS1 stages as unlockables, but really you should get both, and play the one that calls for the occasion.

I agree. Also the characters are more detailed, and the game has an overall more soild fill to it. The levels are also varied, and fitting. Where as PS2 includes multilayered levels (limited) that can take much of the 'VS' element of the game and turn it into a 'Party-esqe frenzy.

i love them both, but number one is better as a "fighting" game. number 2 is just freaking awesome though, but not on small tv's :)

I'm gonna have to disagree. In my oppinion Power Stone 2 has everything that Power Stone 1 has, plus more (better stages, more characters, more items, 4 player mode)... Theres really nothing about Power Stone 1 that makes it preferable to PS2 in my mind... If you want to tone down the match turn down the speed and the damage, or change the items... And you can play just 1v1 if you want...

I cant see why you would prefer power stone 1 to powers tone 2... I see it alot like MvC1 vs MvC2... Once MvC2 came out, there was absolutely no reason to play MvC1 anymore, because it had everything it had, plus so much more... Same thing with the power stones if you ask me...
