This crazy thing must be why they've been so slow with XRGB-mini firmware updates. 
(Seriously, they announced that there'd be a new firmware with HDMI passthrough and a few other new features over a year ago and we still haven't got it.)

Figures the day after I finally get a candy, something like this gets announced. Actually depending on the price I might be interested in getting four of them. I have a very unique use for them.

Apparently a guy on system11 found out they are over $600 preshipping. Which makes them a no go for me. Though someone there pointed out this build on Shoryuken:
