Looking for an All-in-One arcade/fight stick solution
I'm looking for an arcade stick that will be compatible with as many of my systems as possible. One designed for PS2/PS3 and 360 would be best. This way, I can use my PS2->Gamecube adapter to utilize the stick on my Wii for its games and retro emulation.
Will the adapter function properly for what I need?
I want the stick to work for PS3, PS2, 360, and Gamecube/Xbox via a PS2 adapter. Am I asking too much to want one fight stick for all of my needs?
Which stick is the best option? What about price for value options?
Thank you

So my information on this is a couple years out of date but you will want to find a PS2 HRAP (Hori Real Arcade Pro). They go for about $100 on Ebay or an import website. As for making it work on the 360, that is a tricky piece and might not be doable without soldering a replacement PCB in - like a Cthulhu board.

Nope. I have an adapter that lets me use my hori ps2 stick on 360 no problem fast.

Like I said, my knowledge was probably outdated. That is good to know.

Yup, with a ps2 stick and adapters I'm set up for ps3, 360, gcn/wii, pc, saturn and dreamcast as well.

Good move going the PS1/PS2 Arcade stick. The older Playstation has the widest variety of adapters for other consoles. Everyone will have their favorites, might as well post mine.GrouchoGlasses wrote:I want the stick to work for PS3, PS2, 360, and Gamecube/Xbox via a PS2 adapter. BLAZE TWINSHOCK
Maybe not the absolute best, but still up there in quality and for its versatility. As a PS1 Arcade stick it can be adapted to many other consoles as well as the PC and Mac. Can support two players and also work for Twinstick games such as Robotron, Black Widow, Virtua On and others with a simple internal mod.

Re: Looking for an All-in-One arcade/fight stick solution
those Blaze's are really cool, but tough to find room to make it convenient. I was looking at one last week - really good price. But I just don't have a spot to keep it where I could feasibly make use of it right now. So cumbersome.

I found having a PS1/2 arcade stick will allow you to use it on mostly any console. You just need a few different adapters.
For Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, this one works great:

For 360 support, you need a real wired 360 controller (not just a clip-on wire for a wireless one), but once you have that it works great.
PS2 to Gamecube & Xbox 1 adapters are fairly common - I use one made by Game Elements / Gemini that does both consoles.
There's an adapter called Total Control Plus for Dreamcast.
Tototek makes PS2 adapters for a whole pile of other consoles - the few I bought work excellent:

Can you supply a link for the Ps2 version of the Hora RAP? I found several different versions, but all seem to be PS3 oriented.
Or would buying a PS3 stick, then using a PS3 to PS2 converter be a better option?
Re: Looking for an All-in-One arcade/fight stick solution
I've never heard of a PS3 to PS2 controller adapter.
I'm using a Tekken 5 10th anniversary HORI PS2 stick I got for $40. I replaced the stick and buttons with Sanwa parts and installed an octogate restrictor.
