noiseredux game room - 4/27

Post by noiseredux »

painted my game room this weekend, and got some new furniture so figured it was time to start showing it off.

View from the doorway:
Image
Painted the walls yellow, and got a blue loveseat, computer chair and curtains to compliment. The CRT has a Dreamcast and PS3 hooked up... yup, PS3 hooked up to CRT. But I mainly use it for online fighting games, Youtube and Netflix honestly. Also has a DVD recorder hooked up for recording DC video footage to get screenshots for my site.

Image
To the left of the door is a wall of closets. They're kind of a mess right now. But, the left shelves are used for my BST stuff. The middle shelf is a lot of my retro consoles, that I can just take out and easily hook up to the CRT. There's also a bookshelf in there of retro games. And then lots of miscellaneous gaming stuff and extra PC's and parts. The right shelf has more of the same. Guitar Hero/Rock Band instruments, racing wheels, and then a dresser that is filled with wires, extra keyboards, and various electronic and PC bits.

Image
The PC area. Also have a Dreamcast hooked up under the desk hooked up via VGA. This one is the one that's hooked up for modem to play PSO, etc. Makes sense to use this one for that since I can put the DC keyboard on the desk. Plus, PSO is stunning via VGA. This monitor TATE's for shmups as well. To the right is my Dreamcast and NGPC collection in its full glory.

Image
A couple more shelves. The left one has my hip hop collection in it. I'm planning to find a cool stereo system to put on top of it. To the right, is some DVD's, soundtracks and books - mostly gaming related.

If you're wondering about the Dreamcab, it's been relocated to the basement next to our bar. This was my original plan, but finally got around to moving that heavy sucker. The idea is that it gives us a reason to hang out in the bar - especially if we have friends over.

Still need to hang up some of my pictures and stuff, but getting there...

These closets all hide more shelving:

Now onto where I game!

And my Acer LCD for Dreamcast (via VGA) and 360 (via HDMI) along with what little PC gaming I do:

I still have a lot of work to do as far as painting, organizing, decorating, etc. But it's a WIP! :D

But she's adorable, right? Questionable distinguishing of seasonal attire aside, that is.
