I am so sick of people and journalist comparing the Wii U to the Dreamcast. These people have no clue about the history of Sega and completely ignore the financial stability of Nintendo. Each of these links attempt this comparison...

To be honest, I think it's a heavy handful of wishful thinking for a lot of people in game "journalism". I also think, people are attaching the two because of the screen on the controller bit, and they just can't let that go.
People will always ignore the pertinent details to create a narrative ... it's one of the things I hate most about modern reporting.
It almost seems like, in the last ten years, a new group of journalists have come in to tell us what is and is not important about video games purely because the industry is in a different financial position in the world.
