Worth getting iCade Jr.?
Worth getting iCade Jr.?
I've heard it supports a ton of games, but does the fact it may be awkward to play and limited library make it not worth getting? I also wonder whether the joystick is microswitch-ed, as there's a d-pad underneath.

There's tons of games that support the iCade and some more that can be fudged with to work it. I'd also like to know how comfortable the iCade Jr. is. I personally decided that if I were to get an iThing, it'd be an iPad with an iCade but I'm still interested.

Re: Worth getting iCade Jr.?
We had a demo of the regular iCade at my old store. Holy crap that thing was fun to play on. It felt really nice, and playing most games on it felt natural. There's also a TON of support for the thing, even if some of the games don't specifically list it.
I'm not sure how I'd feel about the Jr. though. I have a couple bluetooth gamepads for on the go gaming, and it looks like the iCade Jr might be a little uncomfortable to use. If you end up getting one, please let us know how you like it!

How would you "fudge" games to work?GSZX1337 wrote:There's tons of games that support the iCade and some more that can be fudged with to work it. And again, this might sound a little silly, but is the joystick microswitched?

Re: Worth getting iCade Jr.?
Jail-broken iphone/ipads have access to an app called BluTrol that lets you map iCade buttons to on-screen controls. I use that app with my iPad & iCade to play X-Men Arcade, which only supports on-screen buttons.

Ahhh, like what the iControlPad 2 will do. That certainly makes me want to get it more then!Teh Lurv wrote:Jail-broken iphone/ipads have access to an app called BluTrol that lets you map iCade buttons to on-screen controls.
