Conker and Perfect Dark beta fundraiser

Post by fastbilly1 »

http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/sh ... Dark-Betas

So apparently a gentlemen on Assembler has access to both Conker Bad Fur Day and Perfect Dark Betas and he wants $2500 to get the equipment so he can release the roms to everyone. He actually has four different carts he is going to dump:
*PAL Beta of Perfect Dark (Two days before final build - C-Up and C-Down to enable MCM, less options than NTSC)
*NTSC Beta of Perfect Dark (March 22nd 2000 build - C-Up and C-Down to enable MCM, a couple of more options than PAL)
*Conker's Bad Fur Day "Debug" (October 25th, 2000 build - Hold all C buttons on start to cause an interrupt and the debug menu. Doing so later crashes the game, but it may work on real hardware)
*Conker's BFD ECTS Demo Build (Made for a trade show, lots of differences, lots of crashes. Hit start to skip the intro cutscene or itll crash)
So why is this noteworthy? Well other than them being Betas and that is just cool, Conker had some parts that got cut out from retail, I do not know of any changes to Perfect Dark, since it was so close to final build. But this guy is spearheading getting the roms released, which is just awesome.

Gameplay video of the ECTS Conker build:

Gameplay video of the Perfect Dark beta - sound is super loud:

They're not Conker 64 are they?
N64/NES/FC/SNES/SFC/GB (SGB)/GBC (Black)(SGB)/FDS/Satellaview/Genesis/Mega Drive/Master System & maybe N64DD/GBC/GBA.

Wait what? I thought it specifically said Conker's Bad Fur Day, instead of the kiddie version they were originally making.

Ah sorry. In my mind Conker 64 is BFD. This is for BFD, it has parts that were cut before the retail release - like a torture scene.

$2500 to "get the equipment"? Someone should link him to DinnerX's write up on how to dump N64 ROMs with just a Gameshark.

Well is the Perfect Dark version at least one with the Transfer Pack/GB Camera functionality built in?

These aren't particularly exciting as far as beta releases go, but perhaps it could open the doors for other betas to be dumped in the future?

From what I understand, supposedly someone out there actually does have the pre-Bad Fur Day Conker 64.

Sounds more like this guy dropped $2,500 already and is trying to recoup the dough.
